Skidmore College invites applications for a five-year renewable non-tenure track position (with the prospect of future conversion to tenure-track), at the rank of Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor. This is an open discipline position, but the successful candidate must have formal training in Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) and will contribute to Skidmore's Intergroup Relations (IGR) minor courses. The position carries a teaching load of five courses, three of which must be taught in IGR, in addition to administrative responsibilities within the program. Skidmore's student population is 24 percent domestic students of color and 12 percent international students; in the letter of interest, applicants should include information about how they will effectively engage with issues of diversity in the classroom, on campus, and in the broader community. Applicants should also demonstrate excellence in teaching, active scholarship, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education at a liberal arts college.
