Assistant Professor
Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio)
Deadline:
December 28, 2016
Post date: September 27, 2016

The Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at The Ohio State University seeks a scholar whose research focuses on global and transnational feminisms with an emphasis on social movements. We are particularly interested in work that addresses the multiple and complex ways that gender, race and sexuality are embedded in and produced by institutions, economies, and global ideas and links feminist thinking and activism across nation-state borders.

The scholar we seek could contribute to our department by providing scholarship and teaching that focuses on such topics as feminist perspectives on globalization, colonization, decolonization, immigration, transnational indigenous activism, global sexual economies, trafficking, transnational labor movements, democracy and change, gender and the environment, peace and conflict, science and technology, and others. Candidates who are members of historically underrepresented ethnic groups in the U.S. or elsewhere are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application Instructions

Applicants must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment. We will prioritize applicants who have earned their PhDs in the field of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
