Students’ Committee

The Students’ Committee serves as the representative for all American studies students, informing the Executive Council of students’ current interests, needs, and professional orientations. Since its formation in 2000, the Students’ Committee remains committed to its core mission of advocating for the needs of student members of the American Studies Association, of facilitating communities among student members, and of promoting students’ interests within the ASA. The Students’ Committee sponsors events and panels related to professional development, including a mock job interview, fellowship and grant application workshops, and book raffles. The Students' Committee is committed to making the annual meeting accessible to all students and organizes social events to encourage connections among student members and their scholarship. Collaboration with committees, students, and members of the ASA enriches the values and missions of the Students’ Committee, and we welcome your involvement, feedback, and suggestions.
