All Chairs Virtual Meet-Ups

Beginning in Fall 2020, the ASA Committee on Departments, Programs and Centers will host regular virtual meet-ups with ASA members who serve as department chairs or program directors to discuss response planning in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on American studies, ethnic studies, African American studies, Indigenous studies, and other related interdisciplinary programs. 

The Committee will launch these meet-ups as monthly video sessions. The purpose will be to provide space for department chairs and program directors to discuss urgent topics, share resources, and devise strategies for navigating the next 6-, 12-, to 18-months in their home institutions. 

As planning gets underway, a list of future and past call topics will appear here. All ASA members who serve as chairs or directors are welcome to join. The Committee will coordinate surveys and snap polls so all who join the call can raise matters of concern for future sessions.
