The ASA welcomes requests for receptions at our 2025 Annual Meeting, November 20 - 22. 

Who Can Request?

Universities, publishers, ASA committees, caucuses, and chapters, and other affiliated groups are eligible to request receptions and similar events. 

Locations & Times

Events are scheduled at the conference facility and can be requested for any day of the conference. As a general rule, receptions are scheduled for lengths between 1-3 hours, with start times beginning at 4:00 pm or later. That said, please let us know if your group has different needs and we will accommodate if at all possible.

Food, Beverage, and Equipment

While the ASA does not charge to host receptions, any events offering food and/or beverages, or requiring A/V or extra set-up, will incur expenses from the conference facility. When requesting a meeting, let us know what you anticipate needing and we can help you plan and assess anticipated costs to your committee, caucus, chapter, or organization.

Deadline

Requests for receptions must be received by July 1, 2025.

Please include the following information:

  1. Requested times, length, and date of function
  2. Type of function (cocktail hour, alumni reception, etc.)
  3. Food, beverage, and/or equipment needs
  4. Anticipated attendance
