Good morning, fellow STMC’ers!

As you busily prepare to travel to Atlanta—or as you enjoy the first round of panels—we hope that you will save time tomorrow afternoon (Friday) to join us for the business meeting of the Science, Technology, and Medicine Caucus.

We will convene at 2pm to plan next year’s panels and, hopefully, to wax poetic on all things related to your favorite triad: sci-tech-med.  The more collaborators we have, the more creatively we will be able to conceptualize how the STMC will approach the 2019 theme of “Build as We Fight”, so please bring friends, colleagues, and others who are not (yet) affiliated with the STMC. The meeting will take place at the Westin Peachtree’s 210 Bar so that the meeting can double as an opportunity for thirst-slaking:

Business Meeting of the Science, Technology, and Medicine Caucus

2pm on Friday, November 9 | 210 Bar (Westin Peachtree)

And, even more conveniently, it will follow immediately on the heels of the two STMC-sponsored panels:

“Cripping the Study of Science, Technology, and Medicine”

12-1:45pm | Westin Peachtree | Augusta C (Seventh) | additional details

“The Therapeutic Self: Gender, Race, and Well-Being”

12-1:45pm | Westin Peachtree | Augusta D (Seventh) | additional details

These are just two highlights from a program that boasts an impressive abundance of panels related to science and technology, as well as health and medicine. Enjoy!

Katie, Bill, & Elena
