Congratulations to Dr. GerShun Avilez on receiving the William Sanders Scarborough Prize! The Modern Language Association of America awarded the Scarborough Prize to Dr. Avilez, the Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor at UNC Chapel Hill, for his book Radical Aesthetics and Modern Black Nationalism (Urbana: University of Illinois Press, 2016).
