The ASA Sound Studies Caucus sip and greet takes place on Friday, November 10 from 5-7pm in a private room at the Sweetwater Tavern (225 N Michigan Ave), a mere five minute walk from the conference. This is an excellent chance to meet and talk with like-minded folks who listen deeply and incorporate sonic experiences in their work. There is a cash bar and will be free snacks. Please do bring along fellow travelers.
We are excited to celebrate the thriving world of sound and music scholarship, so feel free to bring a display copy of your recent accomplishment in this realm: a book, a recording, an image of a project, anything!
Daphne Carr, D. Inés Casillas, Barry Shank, and Jenny Stoever
