About

Membership Invitation

Now you can join ASA online! Visit the virtual application form at http://asa.press.jhu.edu/membership.html

Dear Colleague:

If you are not already an ASA member, and would like details about the benefits of becoming part of this vibrant forward-looking community, read on . . .

Membership includes subscriptions to American Quarterly, the Encyclopedia of American Studies Online, the Guide to American Studies Resources Online, and to the ASA Newsletter (quarterly publication). Membership also includes discounts on association services and publications.

Individual ASA members help to insure the continuity, development, and enhanced usefulness of a dynamic, professional, scholarly organization, now approaching 6,000 members (and growing), dedicated to broadening and intensifying the study of American culture, history, and society. They help to promote interdisciplinary activity and programs, working toward the lowering of rigid barriers of approach and technique, and the cooperation of scholars in various disciplines in a vital, international field of study. Individual ASA members also help to stimulate intellectual and professional activity among their own faculty.

Additional information about the American Studies Association is available electronically at:

http://www.theasa.net/

We depend on individual dues to carry on many of our current activities, support our publications, and to develop new programs and services. Membership may be obtained by calling Natalie Garrity at the Johns Hopkins University Press at (410) 516-6945. To place an order using Mastercard or Visa, call TOLL-FREE 1- 800-548-1784 (Mon.-Fri, 8:00-5:00 ET).
