Networking Happy Hour at ASA Annual Meeting

Dear Members of the ASA War and Peace Studies Caucus,

The War and peace Studies Caucus will be hosting a networking happy hour on Saturday, November 7 from 4:30-6:30 at Capitol City Brewing, which is at 1100 New York Avenue, NW, just 2/10 of a mile from the ASA Convention Hotel.

For information on the venue, click here:

http://www.capcitybrew.com/downtown.php

We hope this event will provide an informal venue in which members of the caucus can meet, discuss common interests, and begin putting together panels for the 2010 ASA Annual Meeting.

The happy hour will follow the “Studying War and Peace through American Studies / Studying America by Studying War and Peace” roundtable, which takes place from 2:30 to 3:45. I’m sure a group of us will be heading over to the bar after the roundtable.

Also, please consider attending the “Technologies of War” panel on Saturday Morning, which the War and Peace Studies Caucus is co-sponsoring with the Science and Technology Caucus.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone at the annual meeting and discussing our common interests.

Best,
