Hosted by the Cultural Studies PhD program and the African-American Studies program at George Mason University.
The end of George W. Bush’s presidency marks an important watershed in American life. This year’92s conference will host a number of presentations, panels, and workshops that will explore ‘93America after Bush’94 through several disciplinary perspectives and address some of the cultural, social, political, and economic legacies of the Bush years and prospects for the future. ‘a0The conference will highlight panels on various related topics, in addition to four workshops featuring a number of distinguished speakers from local area institutions. The keynote speakers will be Eric Lott from the University of Virginia and Suleiman Ousman from George Washington University. The event is free and open to the public.
