Haas, John H. "Caesar Rodney: Delaware's Prudent Engineer of Revolution," Department of History, Claremont Graduate University, April 1994.

This dissertation concerns itself with the political leadership of Caesar Rodney, which was crucial in securing the Revolution for Delaware, and Delaware for the Revolution. In short, Rodney and his fellow whigs maneuvered Delaware toward independence and revolution against the wishes of the majority. Evidence consists of primary source material taken from the Historical Society of Delaware and the Bureau of Archives.
