Fuller, Todd. "60 Feet 6 inches and Other Distances from Home: A Creative Biography about Mose YellowHorse, Baseball, Cartoons, and the Pawnee," American Studies, Oklahoma State University, May 1999.

Examines aspects of the life of Mose YellowHorse (Skidi Pawnee), who is said to have been the “first fullblood Indian in the major leagues.“ The structure is based on traditional Pawnee storytelling sessions, bringing together poetry, oral narratives (told by Pawnee tribal elders), creative non-fiction, and critical essays as well as cartoons, tribal documents, newspapers articles, and photographs. This approach allows different stories from YellowHorse’s life to be considered through various perspectives. By tracking the major events in YellowHorse’s life, the reader can begin to understand the many inherent cultural convergences at work from 1898 to 1964.
