Please join us for the Women’s Committee Breakfast on Saturday, November 17th at 8am. Our invited guest speaker, Professor Andrea Smith of The University of California, Riverside will present a talk entitled “The Gendered Dimensions of Empire and Resistance.”
We will also announce our winner of the Gloria E. Anzaldúa Award for Independent Scholars, Contingent or Community College Faculty. Hosted by the American Studies Association, this award honors Anzaldúa’s outstanding career as an independent scholar and her labor as contingent faculty, along with her groundbreaking contributions to scholarship on women of color and to queer theory.
During the breakfast, we invite you to participate in our 2nd annual silent auction during the breakfast. Funds raised will help support the efforts of the committee.
