IMPORTANT - The Caucus is looking to secure funding for these events in order to provide food/refreshments/drinks at each event. IF ANYONE IS AFFILIATED WITH AN ORGANIZATION (OR COULD SUGGEST ORGANIZATIONS) THAT MAY BE WILLING TO SPONSOR THE CAUCUS OR OFFER FUNDING - IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED IF YOU COULD CONTACT ME ASAP. Sponsorship the Caucus events at the ASA Conference would be a great way for organizations such as journals, departments, discussion groups, etc who do not typically have a voice at the ASA to be exposed to a new, large and diverse audience. Any help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
The Food Studies Caucus is also happy to sponsor the following two panels at this years conference:
“Archives of Domesticity and Dissent: Cookbooks, Cooking Culture and the Limits of Culinary Exchange”
Christopher Farrish, Kyla Tompkins, Janet Boyd, Christine Marks, Stephen Vider
Scheduled Time: Fri, Nov 16 - 8:00am - 9:45am, Building/Room: Puerto Rico Convention Center / 102C
“Culinary Occupations: Migratory Identities and the Geopolitics of Public Food Consumption”
Amy Bentley, Heather Ruth Lee, John Burdick, Audrey Russek
Scheduled Time: Sun, Nov 18 - 12:00pm - 1:45pm, Building/Room: Puerto Rico Convention Center / 208C
Thank you and best of luck with the start of the semester.
