About

Membership in the ASA

The Journals Publishing Division of the Johns Hopkins University Press is responsible for membership and subscription fulfillment. Membership is available for a calendar year only. Duration of membership is January 1 to December 31. If you have any questions or problems please contact JHUP Customer Service directly at toll free (US and Canada only) at 800-548-1784 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

The association provides important membership related information, including the ASA’s e-newsletter, the table of contents for American Quarterly, alerts on public issues where these directly affect our work as scholars and teachers, and links to the annual call for proposals, the annual meeting program, the annual election ballot, and the annual prize and grants programs via e-mail.  Receiving this type of correspondence is both a benefit and an obligation of membership. These services require that association members register and maintain a valid and current email address with their membership account on file at the Johns Hopkins University Press.

If this is your first time using the ASA Website, you must complete the form at theasa.net registration as a first time user to include your e-mail address and a password you would like to use. Note that the user name and password you currently use to enter the Johns Hopkins University Press site will not work with theasa.net until you have also created your theasa.net profile and registered the same user name and password.
